Voices in the Art

Compensation: $50 per interview/discussion group
We are thrilled to announce that the second cohort of our Voices in the Art (VIA) project is starting and there is still room to join! We are looking for newcomer 2SLGBTQIA+ youth (ages 14 – 24) to take part! VIA will explore the diverse experiences and intersecting identities through the lens of art!
This project includes:
Taking photos, drawing, journaling, and discussing the artwork participants create through and interview and two discussion groups.
Receive $50 per interview/discussion group ($150) total.
All art supplies, a FujiFilm Instax camera, film and stationery are provided!
Requirements to take part:
- Currently living in Calgary
- Between the ages of 14 – 24
- Arrived in Canada within the last 10 years
- Identify as 2SLGBTQIA+ or are exploring your gender identity and/or sexual orientation
- Comfortable sharing ideas & experiences in English
