Synopsis
Scott’s day is turned upside down when his pastor asks him and his family to host a couple of Syrian refugees for the afternoon and an evening meal. Stumbling from one awkward moment to the next, the unwitting hosts and their unexpected guests are confronted with how different they are in every possible way. Language and cultural barriers seem insurmountable, and the tension continues to build until they gather around the table. But as they sit and share a meal, they discover that the agony of tragedy and the bonds of love are experienced by every culture, and they can bridge the gulf between them.
