Job Description
6 Music and Sound is a Calgary-based audio house dedicated to producing high quality
music, sound and voice over for commercials and film. We are currently looking to fill a position for a
full-time producer. This is an in-person role (not remote).
Qualities
This position will require exceptionally strong administrative skills as well as an interest in advertising, music, radio and film/television. The ideal candidate will have first-rate organizational abilities, be extremely detail-oriented and technically savvy. This job is project driven and requires someone who can be a team player with excellent communication skills, as well as someone who is able to take on the responsibility of working autonomously.
Some of the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Client and Project management:
- Oversee and manage post-production audio projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet client expectations and deadlines
- Coordinate with clients, directors, and other team members to understand project requirements and deliver high-calibre final mixes
- Implement and maintain efficient workflow processes to maximize productivity and quality
- Session Scheduling: Schedule and manage voice-over recording sessions, including coordinating with casting team, setting up session times, and ensuring a smooth recording process.
- Engineer Coordination: Coordinate the audio engineering team, overseeing their work to ensure high-quality recordings and mixes, and addressing any technical issues that arise during the post-production process.
- Invoicing: Organizing invoicing and billing for clients.
- Filing & Data Entry: Perform data entry tasks related to project tracking, client communications, and workflow management.
- Skills
- Proficient in MS Word (typing 60 wpm plus)
- Experienced in Excel (re: creating budget spreadsheets, ACTRA talent payment services)
- Project management skills of multiple projects at once
- Experience in PM software (Asana) beneficial
- Ability to pay strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work under tight timelines/deadlines
- Familiarity with the Advertising, TV & Film Industry
- Basic office and administrative skills
