Homegrown Arts & Media Collective is a Calgary-based non-profit on a mission to empower young, diverse professional and artists to create meaningful connections and elevate their voices through safe, ethical and inclusive storytelling. We’re community-first and creativity-driven.

About the Event

We’re hosting Inspirations: A Storyteller’s Summit on May 2, 2025 — a one-day creative gathering spotlighting emerging storytellers, creatives, community leaders and bold new voices in Calgary.

The event includes:

  • Keynote speakers focusing on the importance of authentic stories
  • Short film screenings
  • Panel discussions
  • Live activations and giveaways
  • And a whole lot of connection

Volunteer Roles Needed

We’re looking for energetic, friendly and dependable folks to help us make the day a success!

  • Greeters and Check-In Desk Crew – Be the welcoming face of the event and help manage registration.
  • Tech Assistant – Help with setup microphones, supervise activations.
  • Ushers and Runners – Assist guests in navigating the venue and support the flow of programming.
  • Behind-the-Scenes Photographer – Capture candid moments, community vibes and speaker highlights!
