Dan Hudson

Dan Hudson is a Canadian artist who works fluidly between painting, photography, video and new media. An undercurrent of ecology themed issues runs throughout Hudson’s art practice. His work emerges from the fault-lines between the natural world and contemporary culture.

Hudson is a nationally recognized artist who exhibits internationally. He has won seven international awards for individual projects and has received 38 peer assessed arts grants. In Calgary, Hudson has multiple works in both the Glenbow Museum collection and the Nickle Galleries collection. He has public art works at Tylor Family Digital Library U of C and at the BMO Centre in Calgary. Hudson has numerous works in corporate and private collections around the world.

Hudson’s work has been included in key exhibitions in Calgary including Made in Alberta at the Art Gallery of Calgary, Planetary (the inaugural exhibition) at Contemporary Calgary, Made In Calgary 1980’s and Made In Calgary 2000’s at the Glenbow Museum as well as solo exhibitions at the Nickle Galleries and Telus Spark. Hudson is represented by Herringer Kiss Gallery in Calgary.
