The AMAAS Sponsorship + Bursary Program is here to help fund media artists and media arts organizations! We are here to support the arts sector to ensure artists can keep making and sharing work to enrich their lives and contribute to their communities.
Do you have a project that requires some funding? For example, do you need to purchase some creative software? Hire a video editor? Get your work to an exhibition? Or maybe you even start an online film festival! Whatever the idea, as long as it is media arts we are happy to hear it! AMAAS defines media art as independent artist-initiated and controlled use of film, video, new media, audio/sound art, and related media.
The application process is straightforward and very doable, even for those who haven’t written a formal application or grant before. Our upcoming deadline is October 1, 2020 so don’t miss your chance.
This past April AMAAS awarded six sponsorships to various AMAAS media arts organizations for screenings and other events and 10 bursaries to AMAAS members—individuals/teams of media artists! Become an AMAAS member here—it’s free for individuals.
