Episode 8

Featuring Dave Ware, Mike Hooves, Adrianne Williams, and more

Join Adora Nwofor and explore different methods of self-expression—from building with tiny bricks to felt marker portraits to public murals—to see what drives people to create.

Today we connect the bricks with artist Dave Ware who uses a favourite toy as his creative medium. Then we’ll meet Mike Hooves, a talented illustrator whose series of felt marker portraits celebrates the community that inspires them. And mural artist Adrianne Williams explores her Caribbean ancestry with her very first public mural.

Tune in and see what they’re creating!

How do you live creatively? If you have a creative story or a project to feature or know a talented person we should talk to, email submissions@calgaryartsdevelopment.com or tag your posts with #yycLCL on social media.

We’d love to feature them on a future episode!
