Milena Vasquez
Milena Vasquez is a feisty Bolivian who traded Cochabamba’s hot climate for the cold Calgary winters and chinooks (the things we do for love). With her hubby at the wheel and two pre-teen kids in tow, Milena uses her lens to capture Canadian life – in macro. She finds stories and surprises in the tiniest details and objects of everyday life. This self-taught photographer relies on intuition, instinct and her background in graphic and interior design to create enticing and engaging photos that capture light in surprising ways. Milena lives in Woodbine with her husband, their two kids and two cats – it’s a typically Canadian suburban life but with a little more spice and a lot more dancing.
