Executive Board Position
Are you an experienced accounting or finance professional with a love for the arts?
WP Puppet Theatre Society (WPTS) is seeking an energetic professional to join our board as treasurer!
About Us
Our mandate to use the power of puppetry to impact positive social change. We recently adopted the phrase Courage Journey to describe our programming that supports mental health and wellness—which is of particular concern in these challenging times.
The treasurer position is integral to us meeting these goals. Be part of something important and meaningful. Build community with other like-minded individuals.
As Treasurer You:
- Oversee our annual notice to reader/internal board review.
- Review and reports on our finances to the board quarterly.
- Assist with budgets and contracts.
- Meet with the board once every two months on Zoom.
- Are an Alberta resident, preferably within the Calgary area.
Our Ideal Candidate Has:
- Professional accounting and/or finance experience as well as previous experience with a not-for-profit/board/charitable organization.
- Related post-secondary training and certifications.
- A broad network of business/community connections.
- A genuine interest in doing impactful work in the arts community in Calgary.
