Black 2 Da Future
Calling BIPOC youth ages 13 to 19 for a science and arts based program
Black 2 Da Future is a research project where Black, Indigenous, and POC youth ages 13 to 19 years old will develop the skills to reimagine their futures through science, technology, and the arts. We are currently recruiting youth to work with us on this exciting project!
Participants will have the opportunity to develop and deepen their research skills by focusing on local, environmental and community-based needs of interest to them with the goal of transformation and empowerment. Youth participants will be sharing the results of their research in a public exhibition and will be paid a small honorarium for their contribution to the project.
Black 2 Da Future is led by Dr. Jennifer Adams, researcher in science education at the University of Calgary and is assisted by MelVee X, Calgary-based multidisciplinary artist and research assistant.
