Sally Njoroge's passion for Calgary's arts community inspires her to bring people together

Community builder, administrator, facilitator, writer, spoken word artist, and program lead for Trico Changemakers Studio at Mount Royal University, Sally Njoroge is heavily involved in Calgary’s arts community and looking at promoting artists as change makers.

“We know artists have a really unique way of looking at the world, and can really invite us into a problem or a challenge through so many interesting ways, so we really want to showcase the value that artists have in our society.”

Working with artists and organizations throughout Calgary, Njoroge seeks to bring people together in a shared space to address some of the more complex challenges in our society today.

Listen to this week’s podcast to hear more about her further efforts to build community through the upcoming virtual workshop and gathering, Why Art for Social Change?
