Choreographers
Alberta Dance Theatre (ADT) is looking for passionate, creative emerging and professional choreographers who are interested in working with our ADT company dancers to create work for our December 2022 production.
Choreographers work with the ADT company members in a collaborative fashion by encouraging movement and concept offerings, facilitating creative discussion, providing leadership, and guiding the overall direction for the created work according to the provided production theme.
Choreographers will assist in implementing professional rehearsal etiquette and ensuring every dancer is seen, heard and and involved in the artistic process.
Each season inspiration for our production is taken from a piece of children’s literature. Our theme will be announced to chosen candidates before summer 2022.
Timeline
- Applicants Notified: May 2022
- Audition Workshop for ADT Youth Artists: May 29, 2022
- Creative Team Meeting & Prep: June – August 2022
- Meet & Greet with ADT Youth Artists: August 28, 2022
- Rehearsals: Sundays, September 11 – November 20, 2022
- Show Week: November 27 – December 3, 2022
