Experience Design Workshops
Calgary Arts Development has partnered with ActiveCITY Collective to offer a focused series of free workshops for participants to learn more about how to design experiences. The research conducted by Stone-Olafson through the Building Experiences in the New Economy study has shown that the pandemic shifted customer behaviours and expectations. For organizations to be successful in a post-pandemic world, they need to know how to design great experiences that attract new audiences, retain current audiences and bring life back to our communities.
These free workshops will be delivered by industry-leading facilitators at the J5 Design Studio and are about learning concrete design skills to help transform your services and deliver peak experiences. Interested participants need to submit an application and commit to participating in the full series.
Participants will attend six workshops in May and June, and will prototype an experience in collaboration with other organizations. The series will culminate in an opportunity to test your prototype experience in the real world, showcasing it at a neighbourhood venue of your choice as part of the City of Calgary’s Neighbour Day on June 18th, or another community-based event in June or July.
Visit ActiveCITY Collective for more information and to apply. Applications will now be accepted until April 29, 2022. Please direct questions about this program to collaborate@activecitycollective.ca.
