Call for a Middle Eastern Actor
Seeking an actor who identifies as Middle-Eastern or Arab.
The project is a 3-minute mime, movement, unspoken scene, performed alongside a puppet. The fictional character is an Arab scholar and scientist named Abu bin Saiid. The scene is part of a larger production designed for adults titled Evolution of Moral Progress: Genus 394Wz.
The short scene will be performed as part of the Festival of Animated Objects – Dolly Wiggler Cabaret occurring evenings March 17 and 18, 2023 at the Calgary Downtown Legion.
We’re looking for a person to work in a collaborative way as approach/format is experimental.
There is a small budget for rehearsal and performance, to be arranged as mutually acceptable.
