The Opportunity

The Okotoks Art Gallery has an exciting opportunity for a culture & heritage representative to join their team. The success candidate will provide customer service and administrative support at the Okotoks Art Gallery, handle financial transactions and provide visitors with information on things such as events, local businesses, culture, history, activities, facility bookings and more. They will also maintain databases and record management.

This position is non-permanent position working up to 40 hours a week. Hours are anticipated to be higher during the summer months and less for the remainder of the year. Applicants must be prepared to work varying days, including weekends.

What You Bring (Required):

  • Exceptional customer service
  • One year experience in related post-secondary field (i.e. art, tourism, culture, history)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Assets Include:

  • Knowledge of intermediate French
  • An interest or passion for arts, heritage, performing or event management

Pre-employment requirements

Candidates who progress to final stages of the recruitment process will be required to provide proof of education and designation along with a favourable criminal record check and possibly a driver’s abstract depending on the position.
