Calgary Stampede Foundation's Sam Centre exhibit
Whether you’re lining the parade route, watching the powwow at Elbow River Camp, or cheering loudly at the Rodeo, the Calgary Stampede has been a catalyst for community connection since 1912.
To celebrate this heritage and inspire new connections for the future, the Calgary Stampede Foundation introduces the Sam Centre. The Sam Centre is the only year-round immersive experience that offers an intimate look at the rich history of the Stampede and its role in our community.
Exhibit designer GSM Project has been working with the Calgary Stampede Foundation since 2020 to create and design the visitor experience of the Sam Centre’s permanent gallery, the Scown Gallery. The experience design is now complete, and Sam is seeking an illustrator to work on the project.

Three candidates will be invited to interview by 5pm on May 19, 2023.
- Interviews will take place on May 23 & 24, 2023.
- Contract awarded by May 29, 2023.
- This is a paid contract.
