Calgary Arts Development Welcomes Sara Bateman

Calgary Arts Development is pleased to announce Sara Bateman as the new Director, Community Investment and Impact.

A photo of Sara BatemanSara Bateman is a graduate of the Social Innovation Graduate program at the University of Waterloo. Through her 12+ years of experience in community investment, evaluation, and social innovation with the Suncor Energy Foundation, RBC Foundation, and Canada Safeway, she brings a developmental evaluation and system-thinking lens to her work. For the past two years, as a consultant, she co-created and facilitated system change strategies for clients that embed development evaluation, creativity, and learning.

Working across organizations and sectors is vital to her approach as a necessity to build diverse partnerships in addressing complex social issues and, ultimately, create sustained change for the better.

She brings cross-sectoral experience as both corporate funder and non-profit experience that build trust with partners to nurture strong relationships.
