Downtown Calgary Arts Spaces

Downtown Calgary Arts Spaces

Did you know when you walk down Stephen Avenue, you are just steps away from some of Calgary’s most intriguing arts spaces? Jane’s Walk is a no registration, all-weather weekend of free neighbourhood walking tours.

Join us for a walk around the blocks between 1st St. SE and 1st St. SW and suss out some of these spaces. Explore a place where the newest tech and the most traditional forms of music happily co-habit, a creative space in the base of the Calgary Tower, Stephen Avenue’s newest art gallery, Calgary’s oldest theatre, and a place where the arts and veterans happily co-exist.

And the best news? You can book all of these spaces for your next event. By renting space from an arts organization, you support their work in our city.

As the city’s designated arts development authority, Calgary Arts Development supports and strengthens the arts to benefit all Calgarians. We invest and allocate municipal funding for the arts provided by The City of Calgary and leverage these funds to provide additional resources to the arts sector.

SpaceFinder Alberta is an online marketplace that links organizations that have space to rent with those who need it.
