New Web Series

As a salute to the thousands of Calgarians who are living creative lives, Calgary Arts Development has launched a new web series to celebrate creative living in our city.

“People are leaning on the arts now more than ever during the pandemic,” says Calgary Arts Development President and CEO Patti Pon. “Whether it’s someone picking up an old guitar they haven’t played for years, picking up a paintbrush for the first time, or taking an online class, more and more of us are expressing ourselves in creative ways. We are celebrating the many ways Calgarians live creative lives and sharing their stories through this new web series.”

The Living a Creative Life web series, hosted by local activist and comedian Adora Nwofor and produced by Bamboo Shoots, will release a new episode twice a month, featuring stories of Calgarians living creatively.

We invite people to submit their own stories or story ideas at submissions@calgaryartsdevelopment.com.

The first episode features Calgary Arts Development President & CEO Patti Pon, local sculptor Shona Rae, and mental health nurse and spoken word artist Krizia Canvas. Tune in and be sure to subscribe to the #yycLCL channel on YouTube.
