With You With Pride Murals Revealed
Temporary Art Installation at Memorial Park
Congratulations to the selected artists for this year’s mural project in celebration of Calgary Pride 2023: Kristy North Peigan, MacKenzie Bedford, Jacqueline Huskisson and Kat Simmers! This is the fourth year in a row that artists have been commissioned to create a Pride art walk in Memorial Park, with a mural at each of the four corner entrances connected by a rainbow path along the perimeter.
With you with Pride (formerly Pride Marches On), presented by Rogers together with Shaw in partnership with Calgary Pride, The City of Calgary, and Calgary Arts Development, invited four local 2SLGBTQ+ or BIPOC and ally artists to create four temporary art mural installations at Memorial Park to honour the 2SLGBTQ+ community in celebration of Calgary Pride, which runs from August 26 to September 4, 2023.
The murals have been unveiled and Calgarians are invited and encouraged to visit them:
- Memorial Park Entrance SE Corner (2nd St. & 13th Ave.)
- Memorial Park Entrance NE Corner (2nd St. & 12th Ave.)
- Memorial Park Entrance SW Corner (4th St. & 13th Ave.)
- Memorial Park Entrance NW Corner (4th St. & 12th Ave.)
