Every year, CJSW Radio, Calgary’s only campus and community radio station, hosts a week-long fundraiser to help support our broadcast. Whether we’re out in the community programming spaces or providing opportunities for Calgary’s local independent music scene, our funding drive is vital for our operations.
This year, our funding drive spans from October 18 – 25, 2024!
As one of Calgary’s only independent media outlets, CJSW Radio is an integral part of our city’s cultural activities. This year, our fundraising goal is $200,000, and we need your help to hit that target. This money goes directly towards our broadcasting capabilities, our music department (including our charts & live on-air sessions), volunteer & training opportunities for students and community members, our podcast & spoken word shows, and media sponsorship, promotional assistance, and programming of dozens of events in the city throughout the year.
Help support CJSW in 2024 with our The Sounds of Radiotown campaign and we’ll send you some great swag to thank you for your support, including our iconic Friends Card, providing discounts to over 140 local businesses (they get some great promo out of this too!).
The Sounds of Radiotown is about the countless volunteers, donors, festivals, and local businesses which have kept our station running for nearly 40 years on the FM dial. Our Radiotown is just like Calgary, kept turning and vibing through the close, interdependent relationships that our city thrives on.
