2D Animator for Immersive Exhibit

We are seeking a talented animator specializing in 2D animation for an immersive, art and culture-focused exhibit. The animation needs to convey a dramatic tone, enhancing the narrative and emotional depth of the exhibit, based on the voiceover text and reference images provided.
Preferred artistic style would be based in impressionism, but we are open to creative discussion!
There are several sequences needed to be completed by end of December at the latest:
- Static wide of rural home/room with small animated details and movement, reference provided. This will be projected on three walls, the room needs to “surround” the visitor. Ideal if room has an impressionistic feel. Runs 1:00 long.
- Static landscape, small animated details and movement, including tree. Reference provided. Impressionistic feel. Three “surrounding” screens. Runs 1:10 long.
- Scene between three characters played out in shadows. Audio reference would be provided. 30 seconds long. One screen.
- Street market, reference image to be provided. Four “surrounding” screens. Must include school gate and a beauty shop window with women in posters. Runs 25 seconds. No characters needed, just location.
- Same street market but vandalized, eyes and mouths of women in posters slowly painted over in black “spray paint”. Runs 25 seconds.
- Same landscape as above but burned. Four screens. Runs 21 seconds.
Key Requirements:
- Expertise in 2D animation
- Prior experience with art and culture exhibits a benefit
- Ability to create dramatic, engaging animations
- Understanding of the immersive exhibit context

- Strong storytelling through animation
- Attention to detail and high-quality output
- Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively

Sketches are due by the end of October, project completion and file delivery by the end of December 2024.
