Account Executives

RedPoint Media Group is seeking two account executives to support our publications and our clients. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a talent for relationship-building and an understanding of competitive advertising media and branded content solutions. At RedPoint, connecting communities through trusted storytelling is the point, and we’re looking for two new account executives to support us in our mission to create connected communities for all.This is a permanent commision-based position.RedPoint Media has a hybrid office setup offering employees the opportunity to work from home or from the co-working space at CSpace Marda Loop. Our account executives need to live in Calgary so that they are able to meet with clients and attend RedPoint Media events as needed.

This position will start immediately.

Our Opportunity

The account executive will:

  • Represent a complete portfolio of RedPoint publications and services, including print and online advertising as well as events.
  • Work in the best interests of both the client or agency and RedPoint and its affiliates.
  • Sell RedPoint products and services to the existing client account list.
  • Prospect and develop new client relationships.
  • Work collaboratively and constructively with advertising agencies and directly with clients.
  • Respond to RFPs with timely and professional proposals.
  • Work collaboratively with in-house production teams, custom content creators and management to create innovative and customizable proposals and new products.
  • Work diligently with internal traffic and production teams for the joint responsibility of collecting ad materials, managing proofs and changes with the client/agency and acting as a liaison between the client/agency and RedPoint and its affiliates.
  • Effectively use the sales CRM platform.
  • Ensure that detailed contracts are provided in a timely manner to clients outlining their obligations, with emphasis on upholding the terms of the contract.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Grow business profitability for RedPoint.
  • Represent RedPoint and its brands well at community and corporate events and functions.
Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal account executive will have:

  • Strong prospecting and sales skills, with proven experience in advertising sales an asset.
  • 2-5 years experience, ideally within media.
  • Excellent understanding of competitive advertising media.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-sell and present innovative strategies to the best interest of the client/agency.
  • Demonstrated creativity in customizing advertising and promotional opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Proficiency with proposals and PowerPoint presentations; ability to apply research and targeted strategies toward RFP responses.Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage both external and internal coordination of production requirements.
  • Team player along with ability to work autonomously.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to document sales activities in sales management tools.
  • Ability to develop and build new markets and industries.
  • Creativity and compassion.
