Children’s Learn to Draw & Art Mindfulness Combo
Children will learn to draw at least two years past their chronological age, using Aliki’s seven-step system, that teaches anyone how to draw realistically. This fun yet structured program has taught thousands of students how to draw realistically, for over 35 years. Within a few short months, your child will confidently say… I Can Draw!
Aside from learning how to draw realistically with a structured methodology each week, students will also experience mindful drawing, as part of each lesson. This helps the brain feel calm and happy. Using a combination of easy-to-follow art, somatic and breathing exercises, integrated guided dialogue and art mindfulness, students can relax and enjoy a safe emotional space where they are seen and heard, while learning how to draw realistically, as well as expressively. Students will explore how art can truly make you feel better by increasing joy and self-esteem through connection to self and others.
Our classes are intentionally small and family centred. We truly care about your child’s well being — not only opening up the incredible world of drawing, but also supporting who they are as a young creative individual. We provide a boutique experience with weekly follow up and communication on how your child is progressing. Not only will your child have fun, but each student will receive a high calibre art education, and inadvertently, we find that our students can’t help but want to teach their parents what they have learned.

Location: Aliki’s Art in Mind NW home studio. Address given upon registration.
Cost: $50 (Fee includes: registration, readiness assessment and an individual Meet & Greet prior to the start of class)
Instructional Cost
February – June = $195 per month including GST.
Payment is due at the first of each month, either cash, cheque or e-transfer.
Fee includes a beautiful sketch book so that all work is preserved, and all in-studio materials needed for the duration of the classes, from January to June.
