Tenure-Track Assistant / Associate Professor

Ambrose University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant/associate professor position in music, starting August 2023. Reporting to the dean of arts & science and working collaboratively with the chair of Ambrose Arts and other arts faculty, the individual has shared responsibility for developing and executing a robust music program vision while successfully maintaining individual teaching, committee and research loads.
Duties and Responsibilities
The primary area of responsibility will be in music theory. The music program offers a four-year Bachelor of Music and four- and three-year Bachelor of Arts with a major in music with a tradition in choral, vocal, piano and jazz music. The successful applicant will complement our current expertise in choral music and musicology by teaching elective courses in a secondary music area such as: composition, jazz studies, music theatre, performance, technology/production and/or worship arts.
