Sparrow Art Films – Film Funding Application for Treaty 7/Calgary based filmmakers!

Apply for film funding ($25,000, $50,000, or $75,000) from Sparrow Art Films Executive Producer Fund.

We’re looking for films that connect meaningfully to art or artistic practice in some form. This could mean the film is about an artist or artistic tradition, or it could express itself through an artistic approach—such as animation, puppetry, experimental visuals, or a highly stylized, aesthetic-driven production. Whether you’re collaborating with a visual artist, exploring a creative discipline through documentary, or crafting a story that unfolds in a uniquely visual or experimental way, your project should reflect a strong connection to the world of art and creative expression.

Information and application on our website at sparrowartfilms.com/opportunities.

*Please note that this is not a grant, but a co-production investment. Sparrow Art Films will act as an executive producer, providing financial backing and creative support in exchange for an executive producer credit and a negotiated share of future profits, should the film generate revenue. This arrangement is intended to foster a collaborative relationship where Sparrow Art Films is a creative partner in bringing your vision to life, while also participating in the film’s long-term success. As such, selected applicants will enter into a formal executive production agreement outlining roles, rights and financial terms. Priority will be given to films in the production and/or post-production phase.
