Alberta Printmakers (A/P) is seeking an enthusiastic individual who is community-minded, has a keen interest in public gallery practices, and possesses a passion for printmaking as a contemporary artform.
This is a temporary full-time opportunity that is contingent on funding approval through the Canada Summer Jobs program.
Location: Alberta Printmakers, soon to be located at 460 42 Avenue SE, Calgary/Mohkinsstsis
Hours/Week: 30 hours per week, Tuesday – Saturday; some evenings required
About the Position
Working under the supervision of the executive director, and in collaboration with the staff and volunteer team at Alberta Printmakers, Canada Summer Jobs participant will primarily be responsible for a range of duties related to digitally archiving and cataloging the organization’s extensive collection of artworks and history of public programming (classes, exhibitions, events, etc.), and uploading this content to A/P’s new website for wide public access and engagement.
The participant’s key responsibilities will be related to (1) archive management and engagement (2) contributing to daily operations by performing visitor services.
