Position Overview
This position is responsible for the coordination and delivery of diverse and sustainable, city-led recreation, arts, culture and heritage programs that meet identified needs, exceed industry standards, and maximizes community resources and partners. Year-round programs and services may include, but are not limited to, annual performing and visual arts and culture, heritage and multi-cultural indoor and outdoor activations and summer programs (e.g. stage and theatre performances, arts and culture programs and camps, outreach and in-reach performances).
The incumbents will also provide the supervision and leadership to contract instructors, volunteers, program coordinators and leaders that provide direct delivery of programs. This position reports to the recreation and culture programs and events supervisor.
