Lougheed House was built in 1891 and is a Provincial and National Historic Site. Located in Calgary’s
greater downtown amid acres of heritage gardens and green space, Lougheed House is an accredited
museum, significant Calgary landmark, and vibrant community gathering space. It features temporary
and permanent exhibits, hosts events, tours, and learning opportunities for visitors of all ages as well as
a restaurant, gift shop, and private event space.

Lougheed House is operated by the Lougheed House Conservation Society, a group of volunteers
dedicated to preserving and operating Lougheed House as a public resource to engage community in
meaningful ways to share and honour diverse stories.

The site and gardens are owned by the Government of Alberta and City of Calgary, respectively, and the
Society has a formal partnership with Métis Nation of Alberta – Region 3, recognizing the Métis heritage
