Bounce Back Coordinator
Youth Central is a dynamic, creative and energetic non-profit organization, with the mission to empower youth to find and build their communities. Youth Central provides volunteer and leadership programming opportunities, primarily to youth ages 12-18 in Calgary.

This position is responsible for the operation of the Bounce Back program, including the delivery of bi-weekly creative group sessions focused around hip hop music at the Calgary Young Offender Centre (CYOC). This is an hourly position reporting to the outreach program coordinator. Hours worked will vary from week to week, with approximately 8-10 hours/month required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.

- Ability and desire to communicate effectively using various and appropriate methods with all program stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a flexible team environment, as well as, take initiative and act independently.
Major Functions and Accountabilities:
- Be the primary contact for the Bounce Back program and communicate regularly with the outreach coordinator.
- Communicate effectively with CYOC staff regarding schedule and sessions.
- Prepare Bounce Back sessions for CYOC, including researching of hip hop music and content.
- Develop and maintain healthy relationships with Bounce Back participants, encouraging youth to share their opinions and personal experiences through positive hip-hop writing and cypher sessions.
- Empower youth to connect to their community through other CYOC programming and community resources.
- Be an active community representative for Youth Central and a strong role model for youth.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including youth and staff evaluations.
- Writing reports and assisting in funding applications.
- Look for opportunities for partnership and growth for the Bounce Back program through curriculum development and ideas.
Hourly Wage: $20-$25 per hour
