Summer Staff

The deadline for this opportunity has passed.

The Beltline Urban Murals Project is hiring for five full-time summer positions from June 1 until September 11, 2020.

There are three different positions available:

BUMP Mural Coordinator

The BUMP mural coordinators will liaise with mural artists, building and wall owners, lift companies, wall maintenance crews, and the City of Calgary to ensure successful execution of mural painting.

Duties include working with artists and building owners to approve mural concepts, managing site requirements for lift equipment and wall treatments, planning and tracking mural progress and managing issues as they arise. Helping host and support artists participating in the festival is key to BUMP’s continued success.

BUMP Creative Coordinator

The BUMP creative coordinator will manage and produce creative content for BUMP’s communication and media platforms including web, social, media, and print

BUMP Marketing & Outreach Coordinator

The BUMP marketing and outreach coordinators will work with the BUMP Festival Coordinator to manage promotion, planning and execution of the BUMP Festival. With restrictions around public events and gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic, the role of this position will be to continue to make the BUMP murals accessible to a broader audience through social media and other means.

This role will also connect and collaborate with local businesses on partnership opportunities. Candidates will be creative, energetic and outgoing with strong communications skills and a passion for marketing and event planning.

These positions are contingent upon BUMP’s successful receipt of Canada Summer Jobs grant funding from the Government of Canada. Canada Summer Jobs is an initiative of the Youth Employment Strategy, which is the Government of Canada’s commitment to help young people between the ages of 15 and 30, particularly those facing barriers to employment, get the information and gain the skills, work experience and abilities they need to transition successfully into the labour market.

Visit yycbump.ca/jobs for more information on each position and how to apply. The deadline is 6:00pm on Friday, May 8, 2020.
