Call for Artists & Expressive Art Facilitators

Canopy Studios Art and Wellness is now accepting submissions to participate in the 3rd annual See me. Hear me. Expressive Art Show, May 13 –June 23, 2024.
See me. Hear me. is a creative collaboration of artists sharing work relating to the theme: Empathy. The show not only features local artwork but also invites the community to attend workshops and events that bring awareness of the healing power of the arts.
Selected works will be displayed at Canopy Studios (1723, 9th St SW) from May 13 – June 23, 2024. Open gallery hours are Thursday – Saturday 11am – 7pm.
Submissions open until 11:59pm April 13, 2024 All expressive art modalities welcome: Visual art, music, dance, drama, poetry
We are looking for:
- Artists who wish to show and sell their work related to the theme EMPATHY and
- Expressive art facilitators who will run workshops that invite people to tap into their own creativity for the purpose of improving their mental health and overall well-being.
Note: There is no cost to apply however, for each piece selected, there will be a $20 participation fee. Artists will receive 100% commission on artwork sold. Participation fees will help cover the cost of running the show at Canopy Studios (administration, marketing, catering and event insurance, etc.).
We welcome youth artists so please pass along to any young artists who would like to display artwork relating to Empathy. The $20 participation fee will be waived for youth under 18 years of age.
