Call for Community Artwork

What does Alberta mean to you? Create a 4″ x 4″ piece in any medium and see it displayed as part of a community art installation at Canopy Studios.

4″ x 4″ Artwork can be sent by mail or dropped off before November 12, 2023 in mailbox at Canopy Studios, 1723 9th St. SW Calgary, Alberta, T2T 3C1 Attn: Kim Webb.

Please include your name and contact information on back of tile or stay anonymous.

Note: Works will not be returned.

Free to participate. No compensation to artists. Participants will be donating their artwork to contribute to a community art project and each 4″ x 4″ tile will be for sale by donation to raise funds for refugee support.

What does Alberta mean to you? What images come to mind? We may have different interpretations according to how long we have lived here and our unique experiences. Show your creative interpretation of what Alberta means to you, as part of a collective art installation. The works will be displayed at Canopy Studios as part of local artist Deborah Millward’s art exhibit entitled Alberta, Dark Sky Country from November 12 – December 17, 2023 at Canopy Studios.
