Call for Fundraiser

Board of Directors

Quickdraw Animation Society seeks a new board member in the role of a fundraiser.

QAS is at an exciting point in its lifetime where we are looking to expand our sources of funding beyond what is available to the organization through existing granting programs. We have a number of upcoming community and organizational initiatives that will need some extra cheddar, and we are seeking a person to take the lead on finding us the cheese!

We are looking for a new board member who would lead the charge on the board’s fundraising initiatives, with the support of the rest of the board of directors and staff. We seek someone with a passion for organizing, an interest in raising funds, a community-minded spirit and a love of animation.

Can you plan a party? Coordinate a merchandise campaign? Stage a media stunt? Schmooze with the rich and famous, or sell some T-shirts to punks at the community hall? Excellent! We’re looking for someone with fresh ideas to take the ball and run with it.

If that sounds like you, please read on!

About Quickdraw

Incorporated in 1984, the Quickdraw Animation Society (QAS) is Calgary’s home for independent animation. One of Canada’s leading artist-run centres, we promote the art of animation through courses, workshops, screenings and production resources. QAS is a registered charitable organization in the Province of Alberta.

The mission of Quickdraw Animation Society is to foster a creative community through resources and opportunities that further animation arts and culture.

Approaching its 40th anniversary, QAS is home to Canada’s largest non-profit animation studio, state-of-the-art animation facilities, and the largest animation resource library in Western Canada. We have hundreds of active members, solid financials and decades of goodwill in the local, provincial, national and international arts communities. We punch well above our weight; we are a small but mighty organization. Through classes for adults and youth, workshops, outreach, programming, in-house productions, film screenings, and innovative educational and artistic endeavours, QAS is a leader in the non-profit arts ecosystem.
