Music Mile AR Window Mural Exhibition

The deadline for this opportunity has passed.

Taking place throughout the winter season, January 21 to February 29, 2021, this exhibition will transform Inglewood’s historic main street and the heart of Music Mile into a prime destination to view creative window displays, combining local artistic talent with new augmented reality (AR) technology.

This will be a unique signature event designed to support the local business community while increasing visitors to the area during the winter months as well as create placemaking that is COVID-aware. Additionally, it will provide accessible, expressive, and temporary street art to an area with few avenues to traditional street art.

This call is to artists that work in either a painting medium, animation or music. You may apply as both a painter and animator. Painter, animators, and musicians will be paired with a small business to transform an Inglewood main street window into a multi-media visual and musical installation. The use of augmented reality will allow the animation to be overlaid on top of the window painting. The two mediums will be superimposed to create the interactive piece. The animation will feature music by a local musician or band.
