Apply to be part of our first Tiny Galleries Bowness Art Show. Eight Tiny Galleries will be set up along Mainstreet Bowness for approximately eight weeks and will open during the community event Tour De Bowness on August 5.
Theme: Linked: Exploring Community Connections
Note: Opening exhibition is scheduled to coincide with the Tour De Bowness bike race/festival. Selected artists will be provided with a free display space for their work along with their dedicated Tiny Gallery exhibition.
About Bowness & The Tour De Bowness
Bowness is an old-world community on the outskirts of Calgary. Canada’s Olympic Park sometimes overshadows our small inclusive community and once a year we have a fun festival that features a cool bike race… the Tour De Bowness. It’s a great day to be here and tons of people come to check out the area, the market and the bike race.
This is our inaugural exhibition with new shows taking place every 4 to 8 weeks (initial exhibitions are on an eight week rotation but we are looking towards a four week show run in the new year, following our end of the year Art Show and Sale). Each show will have an Art Walk as an opening and our exhibitional year will come to a close in March as we prepare for our big Art Show and Sale that will take place in Bowness at the end of April.
All exhibiting artists are provided with a free 6′ by 4′ table based exhibitional space during the event and all artwork that was on exhibit will be auctioned off to support the upcoming years gallery shows.
