Event Information
Join TRUCK Contemporary Art for TRUCK STOP, from Thursday, August 11 to Saturday, August 13, 2022!
This event includes an Art and Zine fair featuring local artists, zinesters, comic creators, crafters and makers, and small businesses in Moh’kinstsis/Calgary. Alongside the fair, a number of workshops exploring comic creation, indie publishing and zine-making will be happening, presented by TRUCK Contemporary Art, The Alcove Centre For The Arts, and Panel One! The workshop schedule is to be announced soon — stay tuned!
TRUCK will also be hosting a Free Art Supply Exchange over the course of these three days, as part of our program F.U.E.L (Free Utensils for Expressive Living). This is an art supply redistribution program centred on tangible community care through the arts. All F.U.E.L programs operate on a take what you need, leave what you can basis, ensuring that all artists and creatively inclined folks have access to supplies they need to create! We encourage everyone to participate by taking any and all supplies that you can use from F.U.E.L. If you can comfortably do so, you may also leave any art materials you no longer need, or make a monetary donation (though please know that both are optional!)
