Calgary Stampede Foundation's the Sam Centre Exhibit: Mirror Design
Calling Artists: Sam Centre is seeking a bespoke design for the mirror for the all-gender public washroom.
The Sam Centre will be the place to celebrate the spirit and stories of Stampede, and its profound connection to community, transforming Stampede Park into a year-round destination and gathering place. We are looking for a thoughtful and well-designed mirror that helps tell the story of Sam for the public bathrooms.
The artist or team designing the mirror will also complete the fabrication and installation of their design as a permanent part of the Sam Centre.
Calgary Stampede Foundation has engaged many Calgarians in the creation of the Sam Centre, from the illustrator of the permanent exhibit, to the set fabricator, to the food & beverage concept, to the filmmakers and sound designers of the multimedia show. The mirror and its designers become a key part of the Sam Centre Story.
