Attention Calgary writers! The Confluence is pleased to announce the 2nd annual Chinook Poetry Contest!
Coinciding with Chinook Blast 2025, we want to publish and celebrate local Calgarian literature!
Winter is famously our longest season, so celebrate time and season with the theme of southern Alberta in the wintertime. There are no restrictions on content or form — let your creativity shine!
We are looking for poems that celebrate place and season. To be considered, your poem should be about Southern Alberta during the wintertime. There are no restrictions on content or form. You can submit a Haiku, up to a longer free verse. Let your creativity free. The Confluence will not accept simultaneous submissions.
