This 4-week program introduces artists to the basics of beat making using iPads and user-friendly digital audio apps. Building on the rhythm and timing skills from Drum Circle, this class focuses on creating drum patterns, layering sounds, and building full beats in a hands-on, accessible environment.
Each week, participants will explore different elements of beat creation, including kick and snare placement, hi-hat patterns, using loops, and basic song structure. Artists will have the opportunity to experiment with sounds and express their creativity while learning the fundamentals of digital music production.

You’ll enjoy this class if you’re curious about how beats are made, enjoy working with technology, or want to start making your own music.
