Decolonizing Spaces in the Arts Webinar
This three-hour online webinar provides confidence in understanding what decolonizing spaces in the arts can look like in practice so we can move together towards meaningful reconciliation.
Through cultivating care and curiosity, we will explore with creativity:
The understanding we have ourselves
- The practice of love, patience and discipline.
- The difference between colonial and decolonial ways of being.
- The necessary protocols for cultivating a safe space including inclusion, validation, well-being and freedom.
- The different perspectives we have including tradition, relationship, action and innovation.
- The impact of vicarious trauma and resiliency.
- The nested system of individual, family, community and land.
