Designer
Our company is looking for seamstress/designer with an eye for detail. You will work with our pattern designs to manufacture and repair clothing and other fabric pieces.
Designer Responsibilities:
- Follow patterns to manufacture apparel
- Excellent communication skills
- Study design briefs and determine requirements
- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
- Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
- Use the appropriate colours and layouts for each graphic
- Work with the creative director to produce final design
- Amend designs after feedback
- Ensure final product and logos are visually appealing and on-brand
- A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
- Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
Requirements:
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator
- Availability to travel for research and product development
- Ability to do sketches by hand
- Excellent design and conceptual skills
- Excellent sense of style and color
Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus, but not a requirement.
