We’re seeking a director for Grease!
Untold Stories Theatre is looking for a director from Calgary and the surrounding area to lead our upcoming production of Grease. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and experience levels.
About the Role
The director serves as the creative and problem-solving lead of the production, guiding the cast and show leaders (music director, choreographer, stage manager) toward a unified artistic vision while fostering the safe, inclusive and positive environment we’re known for.
Key Details:
- Rehearsals: Three days per week (approx. 10 hours/week)
- Rehearsals begin: Early August 2026
- Performances: November 20 – December 5, 2026
Mandatory availability:
- Auditions, rehearsals, production meetings, Tech Week and key pre-production meetings
This is a volunteer position (no monetary compensation). Applicants must have previously worked with Untold Stories Theatre. Applicants will be asked to submit a short creative proposal sharing their initial ideas for the show.
