Editorial Workshops for Poetry and Prose

The deadline for this opportunity has passed.

We are offering editorial workshops for writers interested in submitting to our online journal, resiliency anthology, or future anthologies.

If you’re wondering if your story or poem will make the cut then consider booking an editorial workshop with one of our editors. The submission process can be daunting, and editors rarely have time to offer critical feedback, so if you’re considering submitting to any of our publications—why not get detailed feedback before you submit?

If your work isn’t suited for our project, we’ll tell you—and may suggest other places where it may find a home.

Workshops are $15.

For more information or for tickets, visit eventbrite.com.

Your workshop will include:

  • In-line editing from a member of our editorial team (poetry, fiction, non-fiction).
  • General feedback on plot, structure, dialogue, tension and character.
  • Overview of your eligibility criteria to meet our submission guidelines.
  • A 20-minute Skype or Google Hangout call.

After purchasing your ticket, you will receive instructions on sending your manuscript to our editors. Please send no more than three (3) poems or up to 2,000 words.

Our workshops are open internationally. Limited ticket quantities are available.

Please Note: If you are interested in submitting to our resiliency anthology, the project is a limited demographic for Canadian citizens, residents, landed-immigrants, asylum-seekers or Canadians living abroad. The project is funded by Calgary Arts Development.
