Speakers Needed
The deadline for opportunity has passed.
As artists, we deal with uncertainty at all times. Anything we do, we know there is no guarantee of anything. We put up the work and it might amount to nothing. But when an event like a pandemic strike’s uncertainty turns into bleakness. We may not feel as though we are being successful in these trying times. With cancelled plans and projects put on hold, it is difficult to find purpose. What are we if we do not create? Who are we if we cannot see ourselves advance and somehow monetize this crisis?
With our first Umbrella Talks of 2020, we are looking for speakers, artists, mavericks, and humanitarians to provide perspectives on grounding oneself through this time. How to manage one’s health, personal well-being, and creative practice during a crisis.
Elephant Artist Relief is looking for three speakers for an online presentation for late September to share their thoughts. All speakers will be paid a CARFAC rate for their time. To apply please send a 250 to 500 word statement to earprogramming@gmail.com with your idea by September 9, 2020, to be considered.
