Fall Clown Classes for Teens

Theatre A Go-Go offers the tools for active participants to express themselves with confidence and celebrate their bounty of riches! As we transition into this period of fruition, register your loved one(s) for acting classes and be refreshed as they meet new friends and have fun while gaining confidence in physical, emotional and verbal literacy!

New Thursday Evening Physical Theatre Classes

Introduction to European Clown

Date: Thursdays, September 26 – December 5, 2019, 6:00 – 8:30pm (from 5:00 – 9:00pm on December 5, 2019)
Ages: 13-17
Location: Parkdale Community Centre (3512, 5 Ave. NW)

Imagine your clown, your eternal innocent child that has never grown up. It is the part of you that lives in the heart and in the moment. In a supportive atmosphere, you will explore the clown’s world and discover a unique and personal way of bringing your intuitive clown to life. Players will work individually and in groups and through; Slapstick, status play, improvisation, parody, and personal creativity, will be encouraged to rediscover what makes us laugh and why. The emphasis of these classes will be on having fun and creating your clown Character.

Cost:

  • Discount = $270/player, if registered by September 13, 2019
  • For members of the same family or Parkdale Community or Regular = $300/player

The investment includes 11 classes x 2 1/2 hours/class plus 1 1/2 hours for dress rehearsal and performance at the end of the program = 29 hours (clown noses, some costumes, and props supplied by Theatre A Go-Go).
