Babette’s Feast

The deadline for this opportunity has passed.

Fire Exit Theatre is seeking actors for their December production of Babette’s Feast; conceived and developed by Abigail Killeen and written by Rose Courtney. Directed by Jeany Van Meltebeke Snider.

Synopsis

This story follows the lives of two sisters, daughters of a minister of a strict religious sect in a small village on an isolated coast of Norway in the 1800s. Their lives are changed and enlivened with interesting visitors, one being a vivacious French woman who comes to serve them and demonstrate the passion and resourcefulness of an artist. This play will be told incorporating the whole ensemble and is based on the Isak Denison’s short story of the same name. It is a unique tale of spiritual hunger and communion.
