Indigenous Artist/s Initiated Public Art Project
Working with a small circle of Indigenous advisors including an artist, curator and an Elder from Maskwacis, Strathcona County invites Indigenous artists or Indigenous artist-led teams, collectives or partnerships to submit an expression of interest for an exterior public art project (permanent or temporary).
Artists can propose artworks in any scale, scope, and medium, including the performative. This is an invitation for artists to experiment and propose meaningful gestures for reflection and conversation in exterior public spaces.
Budget: Artwork commission up to $40,000 plus GST
Submission Deadline: Monday, March 28, 2022 11:59pm MT
Installation Deadline: Monday, September 19, 2022
