Inspire to Create: A Digital Choreography Class
The deadline for this opportunity has passed.
This nine-week course for people with and without disabilities will help participants learn how to create their own dances. Each week dancers will tune in through Google Classroom to get dance prompts—theme, prop, and space—for the week. Participants will then use these prompts independently to create a 30 to 60 second dance.
Students are encouraged to film their dance each week and submit it to share through the digital platform. At the end of the nine-weeks, the clips will be edited into a dance film.
This is a collaboration with the Indefinite Arts Centre, who will provide four pieces of art as the first week’s dance prompts. All other prompts will be provided by a member of the Momo Movement Ensemble.
