What are we always looking for in commercial casting? Kids, kids and more kids!!!
About this event
Join casting director Sue Bristow and actor/filmmaker Joel McNichol as they take you through the basics of self-taping with your kids. Covering everything from common mistakes to industry secrets to get the best audition out there for your child.
Similar to our adult introductory class, this class is aimed at non union or new union kid actors who are trying to turn in their best commercial auditions (with the absolutely essential help of their parents). Experience tells us that quality of a self taped audition can determine whether a director watches a performance or skips over it as they look at someone else. Exactly what all actors need to avoid – no matter their age!
In this class we will cover elements like audio, lighting and camera set up as well as the more creative elements such as wardrobe and improvisation that can make a huge difference for your intended audience. Mostly though… it’s super fun!!
